What You'll Do:
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Assessment:
- Analyze and assess data quality across various databases and data systems.
- Identify, document, and report data quality issues such as inconsistencies, inaccuracies, and incomplete data.
- Perform root cause analysis on data quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
Data Monitoring and Validation:
- Monitor data quality metrics and develop dashboards to track data quality trends.
- Validate data against established quality standards and business rules.
- Conduct regular data audits to ensure ongoing data integrity.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and data flows.
- Communicate data quality findings and recommendations to relevant teams.
- Provide support in data governance initiatives by ensuring data quality standards are met.
Data Cleaning and Preparation:
- Assist in data cleansing and preparation activities, including de-duplication, normalization, and transformation of data.
- Collaborate with data teams to develop and implement data quality improvement plans.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Document data quality processes, methodologies, and findings.
- Create and maintain data quality reports, providing insights to management and other stakeholders.
- Support the development of data quality policies and procedures.
What You Need to Qualify:
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Quicksight Power BI).
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and practices.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation.
