What You'll Do:

Data Quality Management:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain data quality standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Monitor data quality across multiple systems and databases.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues, including data integrity, accuracy, completeness, and consistency problems.

Data Validation and Cleansing:

  • Design and implement data validation processes to ensure the integrity of incoming and existing data.
  • Perform data cleansing activities, including de-duplication, normalization, and standardization.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data quality.
  • Communicate data quality metrics, findings, and improvement recommendations to relevant teams.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of data quality dashboards and reports.

Automation and Tools:

  • Develop and maintain automated data quality checks using tools and scripting languages.
  • Evaluate and recommend data quality tools and software that can enhance the organization’s data quality processes.

Data Governance:

  • Participate in the organization’s data governance initiatives, ensuring alignment with data quality standards.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of data governance policies related to data quality.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Document data quality processes, procedures, and findings.
  • Create and maintain data quality reports for tracking and auditing purposes.

What You Need to Qualify:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Quality Engineer, Data Analyst, or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, data governance, and data quality best practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for data manipulation and automation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify data issues and provide solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and their data services.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and data science techniques.
